Caps and Plugs Pull Tab Tapered Plastic Plugs function identically to our standard tapered plastic plug caps but have a pull tab designed to help with removal. A pull tab is molded into the side of this plastic plug and extends well above the plug flange making it easier to grip and remove. These plug caps form a secure fit to protect the end caps of various fittings.
This series of caps and plugs are available in a plain top as well as caps with flanges for easier removal. These caps and plugs are made from polypropylene plastic or our sustainable, plant-based HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) known as BioMax™.
Protect your assets! Straight wall and tapered caps and plugs with wide or no flanges offer added protection and prevent accidental force into or through an opening when used as a plug. Our caps and plugs cover a vast range of applications for a multitude of industries. Each cap and plug is easy to install as well as remove. These closures provide added protection to fitting surfaces.
Provide protection for bare threads with caps. Our plugs work tough to keep dirt and moisture out of where it doesn’t belong. These fittings may also protect from sharp ends through padding and highlighting potentially hazardous handling.
In engineering, masking is the use of materials to protect areas from change or to focus change on other areas. Caps and plugs can be used for masking in painting, plating, surface finishing, and grit blasting. This is often useful in protecting openings in pipes and tubing or for highlighting accents to endings.
Our standard material. Polypropylene is one of the strongest plastics and is capable of withstanding temperatures up to 250 degrees Fahrenheit or 121 degrees Celsius. Polypropylene is a #5 recyclable plastic and can be recycled both residentially or commercially in most areas.
BioMax™ is a sustainable, plant-based HDPE derived from sugarcane. Renewable, plant-based plastics are a more environmentally friendly option because they replace the need for fossil fuels in creation with plant resources that actually take carbon out of the atmosphere. HDPE is also one of the more durable plastics capable of withstanding temperatures up to 215 degrees Fahrenheit or 102 degrees Celsius. BioMax™ high-density polyethylene is considered a #2 plastic and can be recycled both residentially or commercially in most areas.
